Basic History - I’ve been in the floral design field since 1997. I’ve been a wedding flower business owner since 2000. I’ve grown up loving plants and flowers in nature. As a child I'd be right in the dirt planting a seed & growing a garden. I’d choose taking care of my plants and flowers over anything else. Somehow plants and flowers have kept me in touch with nature and all the natural things in life. I’ve always been into the simple pleasures that flowers and green plants bring into our everyday lives. I like to make people happy and see new life grow and change. Designing beautiful floral arrangements allows me to bring nature indoors and to make people's lives a little more beautiful with the bright colors and soothing fragrances of flowers, and I know this makes their wedding day or event that much more special and memorable. I believe in being involved in people's lives, being honest with my customers, and giving professional affordable service to each and every customer.
Associate Degree - Greenhouse and floral, Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. I learned how to run a greenhouse, grow bedding plants, and raise other potted plants- both flowering and green- and started to build this knowledge into a business plan for life.

The flower design became my escape from everyday routine. It stuck with me as I worked my way through school. I worked part time at a busy floral shop in Kenosha, which added to my growing knowledge of what customers need and how the floral business works. During this time I also attended the International Academy of Floral design in Chicago. My childhood dream was becoming real.
Post Graduate - After graduating from Gateway in May 1998, I returned to Stevens Point to pursue my dream in floral design. I’ve designed flowers ever since, even been a manager of a floral store, but my passion lies in design, and being the best there is in the business. I’ve been a floral design teacher at Mid-State Technical College in Steens Point and loved every minute of it. I take on any project I’ve been asked, Funeral flowers, retirement parties, and group demonstration. Inter active learning and teaching with children. |
